Berijam Lake is another beautiful spot near Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, India. It's located about 23 kilometers southwest of Kodaikanal and is known for its serene and picturesque setting. The lake is surrounded by lush greenery, including acacia and pine trees, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers.

You can enjoy activities like bird watching, picnicking, and nature walks. Fishing is also allowed with permission from the Fisheries Department. The area around the lake is home to various wildlife, including bison, deer, snakes, elephants, and monkeys. Bird enthusiasts can spot species like crested serpent eagles, pariah kites, and migratory birds like the common rosefinch and blue chat.

The lake is located at the old site of Fort Hamilton, and there's a 100-year-old brick building that's worth a visit. To visit Berijam Lake, you'll need a forest pass, which can be obtained from the District Forest Office in Kodaikanal. Only a limited number of visitors are allowed each day.
