The Thanumalayan Temple, also known as the Sthanumalayan Kovil, is a significant Hindu temple located in Suchindram, near Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. This temple is unique as it is dedicated to the Trimurti—Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Brahma.
The temple showcases Dravidian architecture with two gateway towers (gopurams), the tallest being 44 meters (144 feet) high. The main deity, Sri Sthanumalayan, represents the three gods—Shiva (Sthanu), Vishnu (Mal), and Brahma (Ayan).
The temple is associated with legends of King Indra and Anasuya, the wife of Sage Atri. The temple hosts numerous yearly festivals, with the Margazhi festival being the most prominent.
