The Balaji Temple in Kanyakumari, also known as the Tirupati Venkateswara Temple, is a relatively new but significant landmark in the southernmost tip of India. It's a replica of the famous Tirupati Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh.
It's situated on the premises of the Vivekananda Kendra, close to the shore, offering a serene and spiritual atmosphere. The temple is designed to resemble the original Tirupati temple, allowing devotees who cannot travel to Tirupati to experience the same divine presence.
The temple is built on 5.5 acres of land and is designed so that sunlight falls directly on the foot of the idol on Vishu (around April 14th). The Balaji Temple in Kanyakumari is a must-visit for anyone seeking spiritual solace or interested in experiencing the architectural grandeur of South Indian temples.
